GENDER EQUALITY: OUR CHALLENGE, OUR DUTY

The ELOS  team met Iker Zirion, International Public Law professor at Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, Leioa, on 2nd March. Students discussed the topic and worked on a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) related to gender equality
They all agreed there is a long way ahead and this important issue is our duty as citizens and our challenge as young people seeking for a fair world to share, no matter gender or other aspects such as beliefs, race or origin. The exchange of ideas proved to be inspiring and highly motivating. Batxilergo students could feel that their university days are round the corner and Leioa University turned out to be an interesting setting to feel the connection between further education and social awareness and involvement.
